Blue Mesa Alpacas is a family-run ranch, specializing in fine huacaya alpacas in white and fawn colors. Our 10-acre ranch is located just off of I-25, only a 15-minute drive from downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views.

Our ranch is committed to a high-quality breeding program, with an emphasis on improvements in conformation and fleece quality in each successive generation. Our herdsire Crescent Moon’s Shockwave is a son of the elite Peruvian Legacy and a multi-award-winning huacaya in his own right. Our other herdsire BRCR’s Peruvian Ricochet is the son of PCA Accoyo Goliath, and grandson of Pperuvian Caligula, another elite line. We offer a wide array of services, including breeding, sales, agisting, mentoring, and brokering (see the Services page for details).

We welcome visitors, and are happy to show them our beautiful herd and chat about alpacas. You can also visit with our gorgeous herd of Rocky Mountain horses while here if you like--the Rockies are a wonderful breed of gaited, sweet-tempered, medium-sized horses, many in beautiful shades of chocolate browns with white or flaxen manes and tails (to read more about them & see photos, click onto www.BlueMesaRanch.net).

Exciting News

OPEN RANCH DAYS were held the weekend of June 7th and 8th.  We had a great turn-out, with a number of visitors who came along to meet our friendly herd of fantastic alpacas.  Our  Farm Store was also open for extended hours, offering visitors a wide array of fine alpaca fiber products (yarns, socks, hats, sweaters, teddy bears, throws, rugs, etc.) at a special weekend sale price of 20% off.
