A number of alpaca ranches across the entire country will be holding Open Ranch events in conjunction with this promotion, including ours. Our Open Ranch hours will be 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 27-28). Check back for more details as the time draws closer.
August 2008:
Exciting news: We now also offer herdsires from the Royal Fawn line, notably Enchantment's Manuelito, a multi-blue ribbon winner whose sire is Dom Lucilio and grandsire is PPPeruvian Royal Fawn 6014. We also stand at stud Galleria's Julius Ceazar, a medium fawn grandson of Royal Fawn.
August has been a good month for us. We attended the AFCNA
Continental Fleece
Show (a level IV) in Denver. The show had over 430 fleeces shown and was, by all accounts, an extremely high quality fiber show! We walked away with 1 -1st place, 2 - 2nd places, 1 - 3rd place and 2 - 4th place ribbons. We also purchased a lovely black baby Suri and her mom, to be arriving in late August or early September.
July 2008:
AN AREA OPEN RANCH DAY was held Saturday, July 12th. A number of alpaca ranches in the Eldorado area were open so that visitors could enjoy getting to meet & learn about alpacas. The local Farm Stores at the ranches were also open, offering visitors a wide array of fine alpaca fiber products (yarns, socks, hats, sweaters, teddy bears, throws, rugs, etc.) at a special open ranch day sale price of 15% off.
The three ranch locations at which the event were held were:
AlpacaWorks 54C Jacinto Road, Santa Fe
Sagebrush Alpacas 54B Jacinto Road, Santa Fe
Blue Mesa Alpacas 10 Blue Mesa Road, Santa Fe (across the road from 54C & 54B Jacinto Road)
June 2008:Our Open-Ranch Days event the weekend of June 7th - 8th was a big success! We thank everyone who came along. We had a fun time showing visitors around our ranch, showing off our "gang" and chatting about alpacas.
